Nina Lavado, Executive Director

Nina brings with her an extensive background in child services combined with a specialty in international relations. Her career has spanned from a social worker for severely retarded children to a teacher of English as a Second Language for high school students in Peru. She has also been involved with child protective services, investigating reports of alleged abuse and neglect.

Nina's adoption experience started as a placement counselor for special needs children. Then Nina started her own agency, using her fluency in spanish to concentrate on Latin American adoptions. Since then, the scope of the agency has broadened to include several other international countries.

 

Patricia Farren, Office Manager


Pat oversees client files, inquiries,and correspondence. With her many years of management experience, Pat has greatly enhanced our office with her caring and professionalism.
 
     






Luis Lavado, Director of International Program

Using his background in international business, Luis has been responsible for establishing all of the agency's Latin American programs and has been expanding his expertise into other countries as well. A native of Peru, Luis' understanding of the cultural differences and his love of travel have helped this agency to continue to offer quality programs.
   
     
     






Cornelia Spoor, Social Work Supervisor

Prior to joining us, Cornelia worked in the same capacity for another adoption agency that specialized in international adoptions and refugee assistance. Cornelia's love for children and warm personality make her a cherished member of our staff.
   
     





Ronni Michelson, Social Worker
B.S. Psychology, Pace University
M.S.W. Social Work, Rutgers University
   


Ronni is a licensed social worker in both New Jersey and New York. She has worked as a case manager in the field of developmental disabilities. She enjoys working with families throughout the country, assisting them with their adoption plans.
 
   






Stephanie Moore, Case Manager
B.S. Psychology, Westminster College


Stephanie's experience has been in the Human Services field working with all age groups. As a Case Manager at Children's Adoption Network, Stephanie assists families with dossier preparation and coordinates post placement reports and scheduling.
