Who are the children?

The vast majority of the children available are infant girls, mostly healthy, between the ages of 3-7 months. Sibling adoption is not available at this time.

How long is the wait?

It takes 9 to 10 months to get an assignment from the time your dossier is completed. The Chinese government expects that you will accept the referral that is given to you. It then takes about 2 months from this point for the travel to be scheduled.

Do I have to travel?

Yes. Expect to travel for a period of 10-15 days. One or both parents may travel.

Who is eligible?

Only childless couples or single women over the age of 35 may apply for healthy infants. There are no restrictions on the length of marriage, religion, etc.. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may still adopt but will be requested to take a child either with a small degree of disability or a slightly older child.

How much does it cost?

Total fees including travel, international and agency placement fees, etc., are approximately $13,000 depending on if one or both adoptive parents travel. Please e-mail us for further information.

What is the process?

Once your dossier is completed, it is then translated through our program coordinator. Your file will be sent to Beijing where you will be matched with a baby within 9-10 months. You will then be sent a small photo and a brief medical history report. Unless there is a significant problem with that child (which is unlikely), you will normally be expected to accept the referral. You will get notice that travel will be scheduled for about two month later.

Your trip should be as follows:

Can I talk with other families?

Yes. Please e-mail us and we will send you a list of families who will be happy to talk with you about their experience.

What are families sating about us?

Dear Children's Adoption Network,
They say good things come to those who wait. In our case, that has certainly been true. We couldn't have wished for a sweeter, more beautiful baby. Thanks for making our dreams come true. Jeff and Marie
